After the rapper refused to cooperate with the management the police were called. But now the rapper is no longer in the custody and went back to his tweets after getting released. Kelly swore that he would be back again for his fans.

On Friday, Kelly tweeted to his fans that he is thinking of a flash mob in the mall on Saturday in Cleveland as he wanted to do something while he is in his home town. The next day, the rapper had confirmed through his tweets that no matter what, he would be doing the flash mob.

Kelly then asked his fans to be there at 5 am at South Park in the food court. According to the Associated Press, the fans gathered in large numbers in the mall as per schedule.

Meanwhile, the management of the mall had a tough time managing the crowd. Kelly and two of his companions climbed on a table, while the management were asking them to get down.

In some good news for music fans who were waiting for the release of the video , the wait is finally over.
Fans seem to be wondering why the video was released at such an odd time, as the band’s tour mate Gavin DeGraw is currently recovering in hospital after he was attacked by an unidentified group in New York.

Adam Levine will be seen in a shirtless act in the video with pop singer Christina Aguilera, which is expected to woo the audience.  Apart from Levine, the video also features some of the moves of ‘The Rolling Stones’ star Mick Jagger, with Jagger himself in a file footage. Watch video.

Levine’s  co-mentor on the album ‘The Voice’, Christina Aguilera, also appears in the video and sports a white and black outfit with an oversized hat.  

DeGraw was supposed to join the band in Saratoga Springs, but it is still not clear if the injured singer will be skipping the concert or would manage to appear. Before the release of the video, the track of ‘Moves Like Jagger’ was dominating the iTunes charts for several weeks already.

The model was requested by Bieber to date his close friend Julian Swirsky and Kendall replied like a true sport.

After making Canadian singer Justin Bieber wait for a long time, American model Kendall Jenner has responded positively to his request on Twitter.

The ‘Baby’ singer had sent a tweet to the model saying that she should allow Swirsky to take her on a date. Despite being regular on the social network, Kendall had taken her own time to respond. Maybe she wanted to think twice before she accepted the offer.

In the end, the model said yes. However, Kendall agreed on small condition over the request,  the model tweeted that she wants Bieber and his sweetheart Selena Gomez to join them too so that it could be a double date.

Kendall is now working with Wilhemina Models, a modeling agency, and also regularly appears on the show ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’. The model is the daughter of Bruce Jenner, who is an Olympic gold medalist, and is the half-sister of socialite Kim Kardashian.

Jenner currently appears on the reality series ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ with her half sisters and brother. She made an appearance at the Teen Choice Awards where she sported an extravagant hair do. Later, she even asked fans for their opinion on her style statement for the night.

Singer Jennifer Hudson has recently treated American President Barack Obama with her soulful voice on his birthday.

The Grammy Award winner sang ‘Happy Birthday’ while the president celebrated his 50th birthday at the Aragon Ballroom in the President’s hometown of Chicago.

Her performance garnered all the attention and she executed the sexiness that had once oozed out of late Hollywood actress Marilyn Monroe.

The event reminded people of the time Monroe sang ‘Happy Birthday’ for the then President of the United States, John F. Kennedy, on his forty-fifth birthday, back in 1962.

The 29-year-old singer  led a crowd of 2,400 in song at a special Democratic Fundraiser. Certain reports said that the room was literally on fire as the thermostat of the room read 92 degrees when the president walked out on stage.

But soon the room cooled down as soon as Obama cracked a joke on his big day.

While addressing the crowd, Obama said that he couldn’t have a better birthday present than spending the night with them.

Meanwhile, Hudson had looked absolutely stunning in her new size-zero look. The singer had sported a short, black dress with a sweetheart neckline.

The Statue of Liberty in the USA will soon be closed for repairs. The statue will not be accessible for about a year, but the island on which it stands can be accessed by visitors. Officials said that the statue will undergo repairs of $27.25 million starting from the month of October 2011.

The announcement of the renovation was made by Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar last week.

Currently, tourists are permitted to enter in small numbers from the base before they access the world-famous crown.

The statue will remain open on October 28th, which will be the celebration of its 125th anniversary.

The officials have assured that they aim to make the statue even more accessible by bringing improvements in the stairway inside the monument. Renovations will also be made to fire safety devices, elevators and the restrooms.

Work for the renovation will begin the day following the celebration. Meanwhile, the island will be accessible by tourists. Access to the interior of the statue was barred after the September 11, 2001 attack in New York on the Twin Towers. It was reopened two years back to a highly restricted group of tourists.

Alaska Airlines announced today that it is eliminating the heavy black flight cases pilots carry around with them by loading all those paper documents onto an iPad. As soon as the announcement hit the wires all the tech blogs jumped onto the news.

Broadband Expert writes that he iPad is loaded with 41 flight manuals, reference cards and other docs.

Chip Hazard reports that Alaska Airlines is the first airline to replace the cockpit flight manuals with the iPad.

Yeac tells us that Alaska Airlines has looked at Kindles and Sony e-readers before settling on Apple’s iPad.

Some blogs are reporting that Alaska Airlines has studied this for four to six months in the cockpit.

Other blogs are reporting that they will finish issueing the iPads by the end of June.

The iPads use the Good Reader app and have are cross-indexed PDF files of the manuals and documents preloaded. Quite a few blogs say the pilots would definitely like to see the navigation maps loaded and the airline is working on that too with their “Bye, Bye, Flight Bag” project.

Some of the most troubling issues that our veterans deal with on a daily  basis are PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), alcohol and drug addiction, homelessness, unemployment, adjusting to life outside the military, and maintaining relationships with family and friends.

The first thing a troubled veteran must do is acknowledge that they have a particular problem and then find a way to remedy it. Finding help can sometimes be a daunting task and this is where local Vet Centers can be of great help.Vet Centers are extensions of the Department of Veterans Affairs and are located in major metropolitan areas of each state.

These centers have counselors that can walk the veteran through the process of getting the proper assistance for their particular problem and getting the benefits and services due them.

Currently the most vexing problem veterans have is PTSD. PTSD can be the pre-curser to the aforementioned problems of addiction, homelessness, unemployment, and deteriorating relationships.

The definition for PTSD as defined by the National Institute of Mental Health is:

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, PTSD, is an anxiety disorder that can develop after exposure to a terrifying event or ordeal in which grave physical harm occurred or was threatened. Traumatic events that may trigger PTSD include violent personal assaults, natural or human-caused disasters, accidents, or military combat.

PTSD has been around as long as mankind has been involved in armed conflict, but has been known under other names. During the U.S. Civil War it was known as “seeing the elephant.” During World War I it was known as “being shell shocked.” During World War II and the Korean War it was known as “combat fatigue.” It was after the Vietnam War that the term PTSD became vogue.

The effects of PTSD can lay in wait for decades before rearing it’s ugly head.  Veterans from World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and the recent wars in Iraq and Afghanistan ALL have the symptoms as defined to some degree. Tragically most veterans have not, or are not, being treated for the effects of PTSD.

Governor Quinn was lobbied heavily by death penalty advocates and
opponents and it was reported that he thought about this deeply for a
long time.

A lot of bloggers are reporting that the governor is following his
conscience in signing the bill and said it should do away with the death
penalty for everyone.  Governor Quinn then converted the death sentences for 15 convicted murderers to life in prison “without the possibility of parole or release”.

Some bloggers say he finally signed the bill partly due to the mistakes that have been made in Illinois death penalty implementation which led to the moratorium that was in place on further executions.

Governor Pat Quinn signed the bill into law in a private ceremony with just a few anti-death penalty people in attendance including Lieutenant Governor Sheila Simon who had been pressuring the governor to sign the legislation.

Raymond Davis, a CIA contractor in Pakistan has been freed from
murder charges after the payment of “blood money”
to the families. 

The Pakistani courts formally charged Raymond with murder and then
arranged the payment of diyat (blood money) to the families to drop the
charges, as is allowable according to Sharia law in Pakistan.

The amount of the blood money is being reported by various blogs as
between $700,000 to nearly $1.2 million to each family.  After the money
was paid, the necessary pardon papers were signed and Raymond Davis was immediately put on an airplane provided by the United States Air Force for the flight back home.

The United States Embassy in Lahore, Pakistan issued an apology to
the families of the men who were killed.  The embassy also thanked the
families for their display of generosity in pardoning Raymond Davis.

Some bloggers said the Embassy statement did not mention and money.

Raymond was attacked by two men on a motorcycle and he feared they were going to kill him, so he shot them with a firearm.  Raymond has claimed self-defense in the shooting.

T-Mobile will release the new Samsung Galaxy S 4G on February 23, 2011.

A recent statement from T-Mobile was saying that the Samsung Galaxy S 4G will debut with a $149.99 price tag attached. But the updated T-Mobile press release now indicates that the new Galaxy S will actually sell for $199.99 on a two-year contract, after a $50 mail-in rebate.

For those of you who were expecting the Galaxy S 4G to be a cheap smartphone, this is disappointing. But at least we can confirm that you won’t have to wait too much for the device to hit the market.

The release date for the new Samsung Galaxy S 4G is Feb 23, so unless you’re too upset with the price change, you’ll have to prepare two Benjamins for owning the device.
